With traditional Japanese Seigaiha (blue ocean wave) pattern engraving, this pendant reflects the deep connection between the ocean and life. More than a beautiful design, it reminds us of our shared responsibility to preserve the ocean - the origin of all pearls - for generations to come.
Kimnay Hor (キムナイ・ホー) / Cambodia (学生)
Created by a design student from Cambodia, this ear cuff is inspired by the delicate garland of jasmine - a symbol of Asian culture and fleeting beauty. With hopes of preserving these cultural expressions and passing on the future, the piece impressed the jury with its depth of meaning and contemporary form.
(Jensen Kimi) / U.S.A
This piece draws inspiration from the traditional Kanzashi(Japanese hair ornament), transforming it into a modern, versatile pendant. With delicate lines and a quiet presence, it gracefully blends Japanese aesthetics with universal wearability, representing diversity and inviting pearls into everyday life beyond formal occasions.
